ABOUT THE MAKER
Ottoman Hands is a British fashion jewelry brand founded on values of historic craftsmanship, reimagined with contemporary elements. Established in 2010 by Deniz Gurdal, they started their journey on London’s iconic Portobello Road and have grown organically into a multi-channel, successful global brand.
Their designs unite eastern and western heritage and are inspired by the traditions of the Ottoman Empire. Every piece is handcrafted by highly skilled artisans in their Istanbul workshop and made from 21ct gold plated recycled brass or recycled sterling silver and semi-precious stones. Every piece they produce is authentic, unique and true to its kind.
Ottoman Hands believe in creating sustainable jewellery that doesn’t cost the earth. They support the circular economy and are against mining due to its environmental and social impact, so they use recycled metals such as 21ct gold-plated recycled brass and 18ct gold-plated recycled sterling silver, without compromising on the purity and quality of their pieces. All of their jewellery is made from recycled metals, with the exception of a few necklace and pendant chains and jewellery components.
All of their packaging is fully recyclable and biodegradable, created with FSC certified paper from recycled sources and 100% cotton pouches.
